BROOKLINE ... Pill Hill Historic District. This three-level end rowhouse offers three exposures overlooking a large fenced yard. The Romanesque Puddingstone rowhouses were designed by architect Henry Ives Cobb, circa 1886. Original detail of natural woods, large recessed windows with built-in shutters, and five fireplaces with original tiles adorn the interior. Highlights include a lovely living room with built-in bookcases and oversized windows; a galley kitchen; and a charming dining room with a door opening to a rear porch and patio. A cozy den completes the first floor. There are six bedrooms with high ceilings, two full, and two half bathrooms. The lower level has a room for an office or recreation space and a door to leading to the brick patio. The land includes a potentially buildable lot. There are two curb cuts; one on Oakland Road and one on Walnut Street, common for the rowhouses. This stately property awaits the touch of new owners. Great neighborhood near markets, cafes, bakery, MBTA Green Line, and Longwood Medical Area. Enjoy Olmsted Emerald necklace, the Reservoir, and easy access to downtown Boston. This property is in the Lincoln School district.
